The PS4 launch helped boost Vita sales
When it was announced that PSV and the “four” were to create one coherent ecosystem, everyone knew that the sales of the first one would increase significantly, today we know how much it was.
According to approximate data, in the first week after the appearance of the PS4, the Sony pocket sold 68% better than in the previous purchase period. Then the trend was surprisingly maintained – the result achieved in the next seven days is 65%. Product Manager Ben Law says:
This week, a new TV commercial (PSV) is coming, we see great support from PS4 owners for Remote Play and the success of Tearaway. This shows how great a PS Vita proposition is, both as standalone hardware and as an add-on to PS4.
There is nothing else for us to do but wish Sony more successes and hope that the trend will continue for the next months.
