Square Enix today revealed an insane series of changes that the Nintendo Switch version will receive in Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition, without a doubt, this will be the best version of the game ever released. Check out:

- Voice Drama DLC (1,500 yen)
About four to five hours long. A collection of short stories that delve into the characters, including their pasts, as well as portray their everyday lives.

- Venture into the Worlds of Dragon Quest Past Titles
All worlds from previous Dragon Quest titles use 8-bit graphics. Even the 3D maps from the 3DS version were recreated in 8-bit. Music is also an 8-bit sound source.
- Restoration Evolution Spell
Go back to an adventure you’ve been through. Go back and replay a previous adventure while charging up your strength. You can also choose between 2D and 3D modes.
- Photo Mode
Photo Mode includes features such as rearranging characters, changing the way the camera is aimed, placement, turning the character display on or off (individual settings also possible), blurring the background, and much more.
