Mortal Kombat 11 – a lot of details and a delay in the premiere on the Switch

Mortal Kombat 11 will land on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in April. Switch owners have to wait a little longer, unfortunately.

Mortal Kombat 11 will allow us to play the roles of characters such as Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden, Kitana, or Barak once again. The premiere is fast approaching, and the studio responsible for creating this production – NetherRealm – has shared quite a lot of information about their latest work with the world.

As the creators assure, the faces of the warriors are to be characterized by clearly noticeable facial expressions – blows and what we like the most – fatality – are to affect the grimaces that will be visible on the faces of the fighting characters. What’s more, even the loading screens are supposed to contain an astonishing amount of small details and details. Mortal Kombat 11 it’s also new and changed moves, as well as different gameplay modes. NetherRealm studio informs that the latest installment of the well-known series draws a lot from their previous brawl – Injustice 2 (our review can be found here) and players’ comments.

The story depicted in Mortal Kombat 11 combines the classic story known from the series with new threads. Raiden goes back in time to prevent the death of many heroes well known to fans of the fighting with the logo dragon. There is no lack of a new central evil character. This time it will be Kronica. NetherRealm describes it as the “boss over bosses”. What’s more, it is she who is responsible for the story events that we experienced in the series from Mortal Kombat 1 to Mortal Kombat X.

Time transfers are supposed to have an impact on the gameplay. The new warrior, Geras, can warp space-time and use this in his attacks. Thanks to this, he can turn back time and thus damage received, and he is even able to revive. The fight itself is to be more focused on strong, shorter attacks than on the old school long combo and juggling the opponent. The title will also allow you to personalize your characters – for appropriate actions we will receive attribute points, which we will spend on increasing the heroes’ stats. We will also be able to influence the appearance of the characters by putting on various types of clothing. Inspiration Injustice 2 is clearly visible.

Finally, I have bad news for those of you who are waiting for Mortal Kombat 11 in the Nintendo Switch version. It is possible that the game will be released on the Nintendo mobile console a little later – on May 10. For now, this information applies to Great Britain, and time will show whether it will be similar with Europe. The release date for Sony and Microsoft consoles does not change. Mortal Kombat 11 will be available on PS4 and XONE from April 23.
