Can we count on more games from the Oddworld series?
One of the creators tried to answer this question.
Various interviews with the developers of all kinds of games take place during the GDC. In one, Oddworld creator Lorne Lanning spoke about her future. He made everything dependent, what seems logical, on the sales results of the upcoming game – Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty. If the title reaches the threshold of 250,000 copies sold, we can count on the remake of Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus, while a completely new title would require sales of 500,000. copies. The creator’s requirements may seem excessive, but they are achievable, because the title will be released for almost every hardware platform available today.
Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will be coming to PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Wii U, Windows, Mac and Linux in 2014.
