Oddly enough, Xiaomi has already renewed its mobile for gamers, the Black Shark 2 “Hello”. This new device arrives on the market prematurely but does so with significant improvements over the first model.
I know that many of you will be thinking, it is not Xiaomi. Yes, it is true, the Black Shark is manufactured by another company but has the distribution by Xiaomi and a lot of help from your technical team. In fact, despite the fact that the Mi Mix 3 was going to be the first smartphone with 10 GB of RAM, the Black Shark 2 was ahead of it. Do you want to know more about this smartphone?
How is the Black Shark Helo?
Without a doubt, as soon as we see it, we quickly realize that it is one of the best mobile phones on the market. The new Helo is powerful and improves all the points that were weak in the previous generation.
Among the most outstanding novelties, in addition to incorporating the powerful Snapdragon 845, is a new AMOLED panel with HDR that arrives to satisfy the most demanding gamers. In addition to that, it also mounts a new two-part joystick, similar to that of the Nintendo Switch, which allows us to improve the experience.

As for the dimensions, despite its large screen, they are quite contained but not to the maximum as in current mobiles. we enjoy 160 x 75.25 x 8.7mm and a weight of 190 grams. In fact, its design is quite resistant and reminds us of a softened rugged-phone.
To complete the connectivity offer we have a rear fingerprint sensor, double speaker on the front, Dual Band AC Wi-Fi, USB C, GPS (with Glonass and Beidou), NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, dual cooling and several interesting exterior keys; But that is not all. Another of the improvements is Game Center, a complete suite for streaming, recording the screen and many uses to get the most out of our gaming sessions.
The Black Shark 2 has an impressive design, with integrated LEDs
The powerful Black Shark 2 adds an LED sidebar and some details along the case that can be customized with different colors. The phone integrates an application that allows us to change its color as we want. It will even be able to function as notification LEDs but in a way that we have never seen before. As for the material used, it is mixed aluminum with 3D glass.
Another of the most interesting details are the two SHARK keys They are used to activate the high performance mode for games and also to silence the phone and avoid distractions. With regard to cooling, we have two tubes (cooling pipes, which carry liquid inside) that improve cooling compared to the previous generation.

As for the gaming experience, what Black Shark offers us this time is really interesting. We have a complete pad with a touchpad, joysticks, etc. It will be sold separately but is intended for use with two hands and add extra cooling to the device with multiple fans, for long gaming sessions.
Price of the Black Shark 2 Helo
As for prices, we still do not have the official selling price in the global market, but we do know the starting prices in China.
- BlackShark 2 (6GB / 128GB) – 402 euros.
- BlackShark 2 (8GB / 128GB) – 440 euros.
- BlackShark 2 (10GB / 256GB) – €529.
We still have to see if this Black Shark 2 really has an outlet in the global market. Let’s hope so. In any case, at least yes we think it will have Global ROM and that can be purchased from China for a price that should exceed the aforementioned by about 100 euros.
