UNBOXING: Beelink S2 a new passive mini PC with Intel Gemini Lake processors
Today we present the unboxing of the new mini PC Beelink S2 with the new Intel Gemini Lake processors. This small passive computer has two versions, although the one that we will see with a processor Intel Celeron N4100 with 64GB of eMMC storage that is capable of finally taking video in 4K @ 60fps for its two HDMI 2.0 ports.
Processor, RAM and storage
At the specification level the Beelink S2 we have the processor Intel Celeron N4100, with 4 x86 cores capable of reaching 2.40Ghz in turbo mode and that includes an Intel UHD Graphics 600 GPU with 12EU and a maximum speed of 700Mhz and that is capable of playing video 4K @ 60fps. The consumption of this processor is 6 W TPD and has passive cooling. We also have 4GB RAM, onboard eMMC memory 64 GB internal storage and we have 2.5 ″ drive bay and one M.2 slot, certainly many options to expand the internal storage.
Connectivity and other features
In the wireless section we have Wifi aC Dual Band and also Bluetooth 4.0. As for ports, we find two on the front USB 3.0 and another Type-C, microphone, status led, power button and microSD card reader. In the back we have a reset for the BIOS, Kensington lock, DC port, two HDMI 2.0 video outputs, Gigabit Ethernet port, two USB 2.0 connectors and audio jack with support for headphones with microphone.
