UNBOXING: ASRock J5005-ITX and J4105-ITX, Intel Gemini Lake passive boards
Thanks to the collaboration of ASRock today we present the unboxing and next review of the new passive boards ASRock J5005-ITX with Intel Pentium Silver J5005 processor and motherboard ASRock J4105-ITX with Intel Celeron J4105 processor, both of the new generation Intel Gemini Lake. This processor is the most powerful of this family of products aimed at low-power desktop systems and it provides a small leap in power compared to the previous generation. ORplates that have not always worked very well as we saw in the review of the previous Apollo Lake, we will compare them with these new models in our usual tests.
On these new plates ASRock J5005-ITX Y ASRock J4105-ITX we have two sockets for memory SODIMM DDR4 / 2400 up to 8 GB, has support of triple monitorwith connectors HDMI 2.0 4K @ 60fps with HDCP, DVI and VGA. At the connection level we have four SATA 3 ports, a groove M.2 for Wifi module, Gigabit Ethernet, PCIe 2.0 1x slot, power jack 7.1 audio and optical audio output in an area of the plate protected with trainers to avoid noise with HBR (High Bit Rate Audio) support, we have two USB 2.0 ports and as a novelty another two ports USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A with transfer speed of up to 5 Gbps. In the BIOS graph We have extensive support for remote start, ACPI 5.0 protocol, and surge protection circuits.
