OnePlus is expected to launch the flagship phone OnePlus 8T this coming October 14, a date that is less than a month away. Before that day arrives, the Chinese company has been revealing and hinting at some of the features and technical specifications of this device, which is why we already have a pretty rough idea of what we will be getting with it.
The CEO of OnePlus, which is Pete Lau, recently shared some of the details of the OnePlus 8T screen, in which he highlights that it will be 120 Hz, among other things. Rumors are now emerging that indicate that the terminal will be the one that equips the company’s fastest charging technology, and this seems to be confirmed in the new advances launched by the company.
A dual cell battery is what the OnePlus 8T would have
The official OnePlus 8T home page shows a pretty interesting graphical representation, which is of two batteries charging simultaneously. After it reaches 100%, a button appears that says “Check it out,” which when clicked shows an AR look at the innards of the phone, including the dual batteries. Viewing the landing page on a mobile device is recommended to see the content in action.
It seems that the OnePlus 8T will offer a dual-cell battery configuration similar to that found in the OPPO Find X2 series, which has a pair of 2,130 mAh cells. OPPO’s 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charging technology charges both cells simultaneously. Therefore, Find X2 or Find X2 Pro can be fully charged in about 38 minutes, one of the best charging times obtained with such technology.
So far, recent OnePlus flagships offer 30T Warp Charge technology at its best. The inclusion of a dual-cell setup on the OnePlus 8T suggests that it may arrive with faster, even dual-charging capabilities. While OnePlus hasn’t explicitly mentioned it, it seems that The OnePlus 8T will be the company’s first smartphone to arrive with 65W or 65T Warp Charge technology. This is something that excites us, as it would be a huge leap in branding.
As far as the rest of the OnePlus 8T specifications are concerned, it is expected to arrive with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED technology screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and FullHD+ resolution with a perforated design. In addition, its battery would have a capacity of 4,500 mAh and the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform would be present under its hood as the person responsible for all the power and performance that the high-performance device will be able to offer.
Although this has not been confirmed yet, it is said that the smartphone may come with other specifications such as a 16-megapixel front camera, a 48-megapixel + 16-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 5-megapixel (macro) + 5-megapixel quad-camera system. or 2 megapixels (monochrome) and with the Android 11 operating system pre-installed from the factory. It would also come in only two color versions, which would be Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver.
On the other hand, the RAM with which it would be debuting on the market would start at 8 GB, while the internal storage space would range from 128 GB to 256 GB. Another feature that we expect in this mobile is the resistance to water that we find in the OnePlus 8 Pro and that is also present in the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus Nor, although not officially, it is worth noting.

The design of the new flagship would not be different from what we see in the current OnePlus 8 series. However, the screen would be flat and not curved, which will make more than one happy, since curved panels have been frowned upon for not representing a significant advantage and not being as practical on a day-to-day basis, although it is true that at the level aesthetic make mobiles turn out to be more premium.
