LG has just held a presentation event in which it has released the LG Wingits new medium-high performance smartphone that comes with a rather peculiar rotating screen that covers a secondary screen, resulting in a two-screen terminal.
This device is perhaps the most interesting we have known so far this year. LG has previously bet on two-screen phones (eg LG G8 and LG V50 ThinQ), but the system used by this new terminal is new and one that it had never implemented. Below we describe all the features and technical specifications of this mobile.
All about the new LG Wing with dual screen
For starters, the LG Wing, at first glance, doesn’t seem like much. The phone comes with a full screen display that has extremely narrow bezels, which are slightly more pronounced at the top and bottom edges, but only slightly.
The device does not arrive with a notch or hole, as It has a front camera embedded in a retractable module that comes out every time we want to use it.; this is 32 MP (f / 1.9). In turn, as for the rear camera system, this is triple and is located in a rectangular casing with rounded corners and a double LED flash. Specifically, the rear combo consists of the following configuration: 64 MP main camera with OIS and f / 1.8 aperture + 13 MP wide-angle sensor with f / 1.9 and 119 ° field of view + 12 MP ultra-wide angle with f/2.2 and 120° field of view.
In terms of screens, the mobile makes use of a 6.8-inch diagonal P-OLED FullVision main panel which has a FullHD + resolution of 2,460 x 1,080 pixels that makes a 20.5: 9 format say “present”, in addition to the fact that its pixel density is 395 dpi.
LG Wing with rotating screen
The secondary screen is 3.9 inches, G-OLED technology and has a display format of 1.15: 1, so it is practically square. The resolution of this is 1,240 x 1,080 pixels, while the pixel density it produces is 419 dpi. This appears when the main screen already described is rotated and placed horizontally, which makes the LG Wing take a “T” shape and offers the user the possibility of using the two panels simultaneously.
The processor chipset that is housed in this device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, which is octa-core and is paired in this case with 8 GB RAM and 128 or 256 GB storage space (expandable with microSD up to 2 TB in both cases), so there are two versions of available memory. The battery, meanwhile, has a 4,000 mAh capacity and has fast charging via USB-C (USB 3.1 Gen 1 Compatible) and wireless.
The phone’s connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, and an NFC chip for contactless payments. The operating system it comes with is Android 10 under LG UX and there is a fingerprint reader on the screen, in addition to IP54-rated water resistance and MIL-STD 810G military certification makes it proof against anything.
