+ About the games of the month of March 2021:
Text via PlayStation Blog:
Return to one of the most iconic PlayStation worlds, reimagined for PS4, and experience a truly unique PS5 puzzle experience, with Final Fantasy VII Remake, Maquette and Fairpoint joining PlayStation Plus games next month. Also, on Tuesday, March 2, comes the intense sci-fi survival and action game, Remnant: From the Ashes.
Let’s take a closer look at all the games.
Final Fantasy VII Remake | PS4
Square Enix’s modern re-imagination of its iconic RPG features unforgettable characters, an incredible story and epic battles. Return to Midgar City as Cloud Strife, a former member of the elite Shinra: SOLDIER unit, and now a mercenary, who helps the Avalanche resistance group. Initially just orchestrating attacks against Shinra to fight his planet-threatening machinations, Cloud and his friends have no idea of the epic consequences that await them.
The story of the first full-length game of the Final Fantasy VII Remake project even covers Midgar’s escape from the group, and recounts Midgar’s events in much more detail than in the original classic.
The PS4 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake available to PlayStation Plus members is not compatible with the PS5 digital upgrade.
Remnant: From the Ashes | PS4
In this third-person shooter and survival game, you play as one of the last remaining humans, trying to retake a world dominated by monstrous interdimensional invaders. Venture alone or with up to two other survivors* across dynamically generated worlds, searching for items and upgrading your gear to increase your chances of survival as you face over 100 types of enemies and deadly bosses.
Maquette** | PS5
Everything small is giant at the same time in this intriguing puzzle game, inspired by Escher’s work. Debuting on PlayStation 5 as part of March’s PlayStation Plus games, Maquette puts you at the center of a world where the rules are very different from ours. Puzzle solutions ask you to twist the world recursively — by manipulating the environment of a diorama, you see the changes reflected in the full-size world around you. If a puzzle defeats you, you can use the PS5 Game Help*** for hints on how to solve Maquette’s most difficult puzzles.
Farpoint | PS VR****
Master an arsenal to stay alive in a hostile alien world in this free-motion shooter for PS VR. Optimized for PlayStation VR crosshairs and fully playable with a DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller, search for your lost space station alone or with a friend in online co-op mode. Trade alien threats for skill tests in Versus modes.
The games will be available until April 5, 2021.
Also available this month: Destruction AllStars | PS5
Destruction AllStars continues for a second month on PlayStation Plus, and will be available until April 5, 2021. Enter the arena and experience controlled vehicular chaos and parkour-style thrills in this supercharged multiplayer title. Master the unique skills of 16 superstar competitors to take the lead in all four game modes against other players online.* The game also supports PS5 Game Help***, with tips and tricks to become the ultimate destruction machine without needing to leave the game.
The games will be available until April 5, 2021.
