Pokémon Go to hold a water festival on August 23

Niantic has announced that Pokémon Go will receive later this month a Aquatic Festival. During the festival trainers will see a significant increase in wild and egg water-type Pokémon, raids and field investigations. We tell you everything you need to know!

Festival for Pokémon Go!

The 2019 Water Festival kicks off in Pokémon Go on August 23 at 10 p.m. and will end on August 30 at the same starting time. During the event we will be able to find more water-type pokémon in most of the game’s activities. We can see a fairly long list of wild water pokémon, namely: Magikarp, Wooper, Wailmer, Wartortle, Poliwhirl, Seaking, Lapras, Qwilfish, Mantine, Lotad, Feebas, Piplup, Buizel and Finneon.

In addition, during the event they will hatch eggs with water pokémon such as Kingler and Crawdaunt. And some less frequently like Carvanha or Barboach normal or shiny. On the other hand, in the raids we can find water pokémon like Blastoise, Vaporeon and Lapras, among others.

On Wednesday, August 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the same day, we can find pokémon like Uxie, Mesprit or Aself on some 5 star raids. Finally, and if all this were not enough, we will have x2 Candy event for hatching and in case of having a water pokémon as a partner.
