OnePlus And Oppo Are Working Closer Together
OnePlus has announced through the manufacturer’s forum that OnePlus will work more closely with sister company Oppo. The companies are going to merge more business units, but little will probably change for users of the OnePlus smartphones.
OnePlus and Oppo have been working together for a long time. For example, the R&D department of the telephone maker has already merged with that of sister company OPPO via OPLUS. This collaboration is good and that is why OnePlus goes one step further. For example, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau says: “After seeing the positive impact of that change, we have decided to further integrate with OPPO”.
Pete Lau says OnePlus is “at a turning point”, but he does not provide further details about exactly which business units will merge with OPPO. He also says that the OnePlus brand will continue to exist independently of Oppo. OnePlus will also continue to communicate with OnePlus customers through the standard channels.
