Google Stadia adds support for OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro

Google Stadia is the search giant’s cloud gaming service that launched in November 2019.

Although the company is adding more games and features, the availability of the service and supported devices are still limited. Fortunately, the list is growing as the recently released OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are now compatible with the service according to the latest blog post from the Stadia team.

Google Stadia is compatible with a handful of Android smartphones. However, users can access it on any TV using Chromecast Ultra and any computer or laptop through the Google Chrome browser. Furthermore, it is also compatible with almost all popular gamepads available on the market.

But it is restricted to certain regions, like few Android smartphones. When Stadia launched last year, it was initially only compatible with Google’s Pixel line of smartphones (excluding the OG Pixel and Pixel XL).

Later, the service was made compatible with phones from original equipment manufacturers such as Samsung, Asus, and Razer. Now, OnePlus becomes the new member of this elite squad with its OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.
