DC | Publisher launches covers inspired by horror movies to celebrate new comic book

In May, the DC Comics will launch the HQ DCeased (pun between the words Deceased and DC in English) the new miniseries / horror event from the publisher, has just won some variant covers inspired by horror classics, such as It: A Thing and A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Can you imagine some of your favorite heroes fighting a global-scale zombie infestation? Well, friends… The screenwriter Tom Taylor posted on his Twitter some covers that recreate (classic) horror movie posters.

Check it out below:

The miniseries is written by Tom Taylor and it starts when a techno-organic virus infects the Internet and affects around 600 million people through everything with a screen.

“The infected will try to remove the virus from their minds by scratching and ripping off their own skin. But when the virus takes hold, they essentially become angry zombies. Of course, we know Batman has a plan for just about every disaster you can imagine, but this pandemic could be more than the Dark Knight expected.”

reads the official comic book synopsis (via Bloody Disgusting).

The first issue of DCeased hits stores in the US on May 1, 2019.
