Dark, the new supernatural horror series coming soon to Netflix

Netflix It is currently the most popular streaming video platform in the world. The company is betting more and more heavily on European productions. A few days ago we told you about Quicksand, the first Swedish Netflix original series. Well, this week Netflix has launched the Dark’s teasera German series in the purest Stranger Things style.

It will hit the platform next December 1st and will have a total of ten episodes 60 minutes long each.

Dark, a series to be scared

Dark revolves around the disappearance of two children in the German city of Winden. The terrible event brings to light the double life and relationships of four families who will end up unearthing the secrets of this place. As the chapters progress, the story will give a supernatural twist and the protagonists will meet in that same place, but in the year 1986.

The Serie play with space and time since the missing children are in a kind of black hole; sometimes they are in the 50s, and sometimes in 2017 or even in the 80s.

Dark is starring Louis Hofmann, Oliver Masucci, Jördis Triebel, Maja Schöne and Sebastian Rudolphamong others.

Dark and Stranger Things, two supernatural series

Watching the teaser, it’s impossible not to remember stranger things, which has been one of the most successful Netflix series in recent years. However, the creators point out that Dark is a different proposal; does not have as many references to the cinema of the 80s and 90s and, in addition, it has a much darker setting.

When asked if this comparison between Dark and Stranger Things they think it will benefit them, they are convinced that it will. They consider that all fans of Stranger Things will be at least curious to see Dark, so it is a golden opportunity.

From the looks of it, Dark is the scariest production Netflix has created so far. 100% recommended for horror genre lovers.
